Thank you for visiting my blog. This is a public blog that anybody can view, so to protect the identities of children enrolled in my preschool, I have moved the majority of communication into the media of email and texting to parents.
I am a stay at home Mom living in Jacob's Ranch. I have taught preschool (licensed by the city of Saratoga Springs) for four school years including 2013-2014.
I believe learning should be fun and that childhood is a special time filled with magic, wonder and imagination. Having any involvement with a child is precious to me and I draw upon my experience as a mother and a life long learner to provide a friendly, enriching environment for my students to learn actively and passively.
We imagine. We ask. We explore. We examine.

I encourage my students to grow MORE curious, to want to know the answers to WHY? and HOW? and WHAT IF?
As an academic preschool, I focus on sending your child to kindergarten sounding out words, adding, predicting, recognizing sight words, experienced to work in groups, experienced in working in rotations (stations), familiar with using many varieties of art tools, and experienced in many of the social skills they will need inside and outside of their kindergarten classrooms.
While I do have a pretty fantastic indoor playroom and outdoor playgrounds, I believe learning is also about singing, laughing, having compassion and confidence in self.
